The gel packs should be placed flat in the freezer for two hours or more to use as a cold pack. Use tongs or a towel to handle the gel packs after heating and NEVER place the gel packs directly on your skin.

In general, each gel pack will stay cold for about 30 minutes when frozen for two hours.
